"...Without having the Word in front of me guiding my prayers... I tend to be very repetitive from day to day and hour to hour, and I just pray the same things all the time. . . . But the Bible . . . . gives me biblical things to pray for so that I’m not praying with empty and vague requests like 'God bless them' and 'God bless that.' Rather, I’m asking for specific things that the Bible commends." - John Piper

Why It's Worth Your Time

If you struggle with knowing how (or what) to pray for teens and feel like your prayers are generic and repetitive, this book is for you! It will also help you pray more consistently for them.

How To Use It

Buy two copies - one for you and one for the teen you're praying for.

  • The teen will be encouraged by knowing what is prayed for them.

Label the specific dates that you'll be praying each Scripture.

  • There are 13 weeks of verses to pray, which means you can go through the book 4 times a year. Each week is a different topic.

  • At the top of each day, write the specific dates throughout the year that you'll be praying those verses; for example, at the top of Day One, I wrote "1/1, 4/2, 7/2, 10/1." At the top of Day Two, I wrote "1/2, 4/3, 7/3, 10/2."

  • Yes, it's tedious, but you only have to do it once.

  • Do this for both your copy and the copy you give to the teen. Then they can open the book any day of the year and know what verses you prayed for them that day.

Don't feel bound by the pre-written prayer under each Scripture.

  • Personally, I prefer to pray through the Scripture on my own and then close with the pre-written prayer. Use it in the way that works best for you.

Consider launching the Pray for Me Campaign at your church.

  • The book works fine by itself, but it's part of a bigger ministry intended to connect generations through prayer. Learn more here.
